Dr. Mike Malone, veterinarian to the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo, examines the zoo’s bald eagle, last Wednesday at the zoo. The eagle was dusted with powder, which deter mites, while zookeepers were busy adding new tree branches to its enclosure. Although the bird was none too happy, it was safely back in its enclosure a short time later.
