Sheriff’s locale receives TLC

Jenni Carr, Barton County K-State Research and Extension agriculture agent, works with Dion Lupton, a member of the Great Bend Beautification Committee. Also assisting were Mary Kummer, Linda Dougherty, June Hillman and Master Gardener Jean Brinlee. The Beautification Committee donated plants.

When suspects are booked into the Barton County Jail by the Barton County sheriff’s deputies, they’ll finally get a chance to smell the flowers. The sheriff’s property at Broadway and Kansas Ave. was in need of a massive makeover.
