CHASE — Irene E. “Betty” Gomez, 73, died peacefully with family present on May 31, 2012 at the Rice County District Hospital in Lyons. Born April 29, 1939 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. she was the daughter of Rolf J. and Lottie C. Urbanovich Harms. She attended Geneseo schools and graduated from Barton Community College with a nursing degree. On June 11, 1955, she married Kenneth Gomez in Lyons. A resident of Chase since 1958, formerly ...
