Handgun, other items stolen from unlocked vehicles

Sometime between noon on May 28 and 8 a.m. on May 31, a white Ford pickup and camper trailer at 2209 Adams St. in Great Bend were broken into.
Police Chief Dean Akings, speaking for Crime Stoppers, said the vehicles were left unlocked. Taken were a Ruger .22 caliber semiautomatic pistol, a digital volt meter, an Amprobe-brand line locator, 19-inch Emerson TV, iPhone charger and a TruGlo holographic sight. The loss was $4,300.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 792-1300 or 888-305-1300. Akings reminds all residents, “Please lock your homes and vehicles.”
