BCC trustees look at insurance, schedule

The cost of insurance for Barton Community College athletes is going up next year, but it is still lower than it has been in the past, Dean of Business Management Mark Dean told college trustees.
The board reviewed insurance quotes and other matters Thursday at the July study session, and will take action on items at the July 19 business meeting.
Dean said he looked at self-insurance but recommended going with the low quote of $79,982 (a $17,000 increase) which comes from the Guaranteed Trust through 1st Agency, the same company used last year.
