Republicans spend campaign contributions on primary battle

In her bid for reelection to Kansas Senate District 33, Ruth Teichman has outspent challenger Mitch Holmes by more than four-to-one heading into next Tuesday’s primary. Meanwhile, the candidates for the House’s 112th District, which serves Great Bend and other parts of Barton County, are unopposed in the primary. Between the two, Republican John  Edmonds and Democrat Steve Muehleisen have spent less than $350.
