HOISINGTON — Jerrad Lee Umphrey, 20, and Seth Owen, 15, both of Hoisington, were transported to Clara Barton Hospital on Saturday after the pickup they were in went off the 800 block of NW 10 Ave. Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports Umphrey was driving south at 1:23 a.m. when a deer came out of the east ditch and he swerved, losing control as the Ford F-150 got into the sand ridge.
