James L. "Jim" Morton, 64, died Nov. 3 at his home in Great Bend. Born May 4, 1946, in Great Bend, he was the son of Loyd and Violet (Smith) Morton. On Aug. 28, 1970, he married Karen Collier in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 1973, coming from Seward, he was a district manager for Halliburton for 25 years and production superintendent for Hartman Oil Company until his retirement ...
