Max Nelson Reed, 72, died Aug. 25 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. Born April. 1, 1940 in McPherson, he was the son of Clarence Harley and Anna Ellen (Ebaugh) Reed. Max was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, teacher, and coach. He married Judith Ann Birkholz on May 23, 1965 in Argonia. She survives. He obtained his Masters of Science in Education from Emporia State University, and took additional courses at ...
