Once the dam broke, the Barton Community College women’s soccer team scored four unanswered goals against Western Nebraska.
Barton advanced to 2-1 on the young with a 4-0 shutout at the soccer and track complex.
“We definitely played better this game,” Barton head coach Aaron Avila said. “We’re a young team, but we were able to improve on everything. We moved some players around this game and they played well, so that’s kind of getting us ready for the (Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference) season, which is getting ready to start.
