Lady Cougars defeat Lady Monarchs

The Barton Community College women’s soccer team captured a 2-1 victory over Metropolitan Community College (Maple Woods) at the BCC soccer and track complex on Thursday afternoon.
“I’m excited we played well against a really good team,” Barton head coach Aaron Avila said. “We possessed the ball well, which is something we haven’t done real well against teams of this caliber.”
The Lady Cougars struck first just 12 minutes into the game as Courtney Galliher found the net after a corner kick.
