In Great Bend, 2012 might be called the year of the Tattoo. Within six months, the city of nearly 16,000 has gone from a tattoo-parlor free zone, to the home of two start-up licensed tattoo artists. Tattoos have gone from taboo to acceptable. At one time associated only with sailors, bikers, hoodlums and gang-bangers, they now decorate the hides of lawyers, doctors, nurses and teachers.
