Burglaries reported in Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD — Two buildings on East 1st Street in Ellinwood were burglarized sometime between 2 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings, speaking for Crime Stoppers of Barton County, said the forced entry burglaries occurred at the Lone Wolf Restaurant, 111 East 1st, and the building next door, 109 East First. The rear door to the restaurant was damaged and a Royal Brand cash register was stolen. Loss and damage was $442. Cash and coins were also stolen from the second building, where loss and damage were about $400.
