WAMEGO -- Pawnee Heights and Kansas State graduate Christian Smith from Garfield held the U.S. flag when the National Anthem was played Saturday at the State cross country meets at Wamego Country Club. Smith captured four gold medals and led Pawnee Heights to the 2002 Class 1A track championship.
