CPHS student plays with honor band

CLAFLIN — Central Plains High School, Senior Emily Girard was selected to play with the Southwest District Honor Band.
This year she played fifth chair in the flute section. This is Girard’s fourth consecutive year in the Honor Band, and they performed with the group on Dec. 1 in Dodge City. Being selected in the Southwest District Honor Band, she now has the opportunity to audition for the 1234A State Honor Band in Salina on Jan. 5, 2013.
