Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters were dispatched to 309 Buckeye St., where a man was burning leaves in his yard, at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday. The fire was put out and a police officer explained that burning leaves in town is illegal. GBFD had six Emergency Medical Service calls Tuesday.
