Eugene Hallett will celebrate his 80th birthday on Jan. 6. Eugene was born on Jan. 6, 1933 in Rush Center to Earnest and Zelma Hallett. He was raised on the family farm in Rush Center. On Sept. 22, 1956 he married Carol Ochs in La Crosse. In 1961, he moved to Great Bend and was employed at the power plant for 35 years.
