ELLSWORTH — An Ellsworth woman was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after the sport utility vehicle she was driving was rear-ended by a pickup on K-156 and Kunkle Drive in Ellsworth. Kansas Highway Patrol reports Rita K. Thurber, 52, was northbound on K-156 and had stopped in traffic to make a left turn when her Suzuki was hit from behind by the Chevrolet pickup driven by David W. Buchholz, 57, Ellsworth.
