Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters had five Emergency Medical Service calls on Tuesday. There was a smoke smell at 1705 Main at 10:07 a.m., but no fire was found in the building. Other fires Barton County call logs show a ditch fire was reported on West U.S. 56 and 90 Ave. at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday.
