Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters had two Emergency Medical Service calls on Thursday. They performed a carbon monoxide check at 9:19 a.m. at 2818 25th St., but found nothing. There was a garage fire at 1:16 a.m. Friday at 2523 11th St., where a resident was smoking some meat. There was extensive damage to the structure and fire crews remained on the scene for several hours making sure the fire was out. Great Bend Police ...
