GBHS finishes second at home meet

The Great Bend High School boys’ swim team missed first place by 31 points at Tuesday afternoon’s swim meet at Kirkman Activity Center.
“We finished second to Hays,” GBHS head coach Steve Beaumont said. “It was fairly close. We beat them in a couple of relays, which we hadn’t in previous years. We kept the score pretty even throughout the meet.
“Overall, I thought we swam well.”
The Panthers finished with 285 points behind first-place Hays’ 316.
