Dear Editor, I concur with Bruce Custers editorial regarding Karen LaPierres remarks about Governor Brownbacks power grab of the judicial branch, of the states government. The procedure for appointment of appellant court judges has been discussed and deliberated by the Kansas bar and judicial committees for years - long before Governor Brownback was elected. Additionally, Ms. LaPierres notion that the Governors behind the scenes work was the reason several legislators weren’t re-elected, is ridicules. She ...
