Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Tuesday. There were no fires. Kansas Highway Patrol A 46-year-old man was injured Tuesday night in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Russell County. Timothy N. Jackson of Fayetteville, N.C., was driving a semitrailer and lost control nine miles east of Russell, around 10 p.m. The vehicle struck the west guardrail and jackknified on the bridge.
