Banks take a holiday in March, 1933, while an Axis power is born

Readers in Great Bend followed in great detail all the pomp and circumstance leading up to Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inauguration the first week of March, 1933. Here, “The stand in front of the national capitol where Mr. Roosevelt will take the oath as President is nearly completed.”
