Girl Scout volunteers recognized for service

Wichita — Ninety-three volunteers across 80 counties were honored by Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland recently at the 2013 Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast and Annual Meeting.
 Girl Scouts spokesman Traci Naylor said Volunteer of Excellence awards went to Patty Fletchall, Great Bend, and Tammy Mitchell, Russell, at the April 6 meeting. The Volunteer of Excellence Award is presented each spring to Girl Scout volunteers who work directly with girls and display excellent service in delivering the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
