Lady Oilers win league title

Central Prairie League

ST. JOHN — The Central Plains High School girls’ track and field team won a Central Prairie League title on Thursday.
The Lady Oilers finished with 114 points. Macksville tied with Victoria for fourth with 60, Otis-Bison took sixth with 44 and St. John finished seventh with 41.
The Mustangs tied for second place with Ness City, scoring 84 points. Both trailed La Crosse, which finished with 190.
The Tigers secured fifth with 37, Otis-Bison took seventh with 28 and the Oilers finished eighth with 22.
Central Plains travels to Herington on Friday for a Class 2A regional meet.
