Montoya has company as Ellinwood teammates join him on podium

WICHITA — While Pedro Montoya took the center stage for Ellinwood High School, there was still some room for more in the limelight at Cessna Stadium on the Wichita State University campus.
Chief among them was the Lady Eagles 4x100-meter relay team, who won a Class 2A state title on Saturday at the 6-1A state track and field championships.
The team, which consists of Chelsea Day, McKenna Rugan, Becca Elsen and Sophie Hayes, crossed the finish line at 50.31 seconds for a school record.
