Panthers discus throwers take home fifth, sixth place

Nick Warren took home sixth from Friday’s Class 5A discus event during the state track and field meet at Cessna Stadium on the Wichita State University campus.

WICHITA — Great Bend High School underclassmen throwers Jayce Brack and Nick Warren took a trip to the podium during Friday’s competition of the Class 6-1A state track and field championships at Cessna Stadium.
If all goes well, both should be back again next year, too.
For Brack, a sophomore, he appears destined to be a four-time state qualifier — when it’s all said and done.
On Friday, Brack finished fifth and Warren, a junior, captured sixth in the 5A discus competition.
