Hoisington, Larned to start volleyball season

HILLSBORO — Hoisington and Larned high schools will open the 2013 high school volleyball season on Saturday at the Central Kansas League Volleyball Tournament. Teams will start with two pool-play matches.

Second-seeded Hoisington will play Haven at 9 a.m. and Kingman at 11.

Ninth-seeded Larned will play Smoky Valley at 10 a.m. and Hesston at 11.

Bracket play and consolation round-robin play will start at 12:30 p.m. Teams will play five matches. Hillsboro defeated Hesston in last year's championship match.
