Great Bend Fire/EMS
An investigator from the Kansas Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled the cause of a garage fire at 7:43 p.m. Monday at 108 Maple St. was electrical. Great Bend Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said the first units to arrive on scene found fire and smoke coming from the garage. The fire was quickly extinguished. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Friday, two Saturday, four Sunday and two Monday.
Other fire calls included a false alarm on Friday. At 6:20 p.m. Saturday a possible gas odor at 2901 ...
