Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters responded to 1901 Lakin Ave. at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday for smoke in the building. It was caused by an overheated furnace motor. At 12:38 p.m. they responded to 365 NE 20 Ave. for a field fire. They found unauthorized burning of trash.
Firefighters made 10 Emergency Medical Service runs Wednesday.

Vehicles driven by Jesus Antonio Vollegas and Miguel Baldarama collided on Heizer St. at 8:04 a.m. Wednesday.
