Serial rapist gets new parole hearing

A convicted serial rapist housed at Larned State Hospital will be eligible for another parole hearing this fall, according to the Kansas Prisoner Review Board.
Charles Curtis Hunter, 51, is an inmate in maximum level custody at LSH, operated by the Kansas Department of Corrections. He is eligible for a parole hearing in November for possible release in December.
Hunter was convicted for battering a youth center officer in 2005 in Pawnee County, while serving a life sentence for multiple convictions for rape and aggravated burglary, all committed in Lawrence in December of 1978 when he was 16 years old ...
