Larned Juvenile fair entry named grand champion

LARNED — Youth residents from the Larned Juvenile Correctional facility recently participated in the local 2013 Pawnee County 4-H Fair.  
Youth were given the opportunity to submit entries in several different areas, including wood burning, Lego kits, and portraits.  
In portraits, a portrait of an Indian chief captured grand champion honors in the open class.  The youth who won grand champion for his portrait earned a $25 prize, which was put into a personal account.  As grand champion, the portrait qualified for entry at the Kansas State Fair.
