WICHITA — It didn’t take long for Great Bend High School’s football team to make their mark on the scoreboard against Wichita North on Friday night.

The Panthers scored on their first drive, and the defense shut out the Redskins for a 36-0 win.

After shutting down Wichita North on its first drive, the Panthers capped a 57-yard drive with a 16-yard connection from quarterback Bryce Beck and Justin McGinnes.

Beck completed a pass to Greg Burley, converting for two points to make it 8-0 with 6:34 remaining in the half.
