WICHITA — A strong start can set the tone for an entire football game.
Great Bend High School’s defense shut down Wichita North on its first drive, and the Panthers scored on their first drive on their way to a 36-0 rout.
After an emotional win against Western Athletic Conference opponent Garden City last week, Great Bend head coach Bo Black said there was a little bit of an emotional drain this week in practice.
None of that was apparent on Friday night as the Panthers held the Redskins to 26 yards of total offense in the first half.
