BCSO lieutenant to give crime prevention talk

Lt. Rick Popp from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office will talk about crime prevention during two free programs next week.
Popp will speak from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St., and at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. Both programs are hosted by the Great Bend Recreation Commission. His topics will include: protecting your property, staying safe in a high tech world, school safety and security, safety in the golden years and other topics of interest from the audience.
