Dodge City routs Panthers in WAC play

Great Bend High School couldn’t get things moving against Western Athletic Conference opponent Dodge City on Friday night’s football game at Memorial Stadium.
The Panthers fell 47-13 on Homecoming night.
Dodge City started things off, scoring on a 16-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kelan Newton to Bryce Unruh with 7:37 remaining in the first quarter. Dillon Burkhard missed the extra point to make it 6-0.
The Panthers’ hole got deeper with 8:18 remaining in the first half, as Burkhard made a field goal from Great Bend’s 9-yard line.
