LENEXA — Philip C. “Flip” Hoss, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 5, in Lenexa.  He was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Seward, the sixth of nine children of Charles and Otillia (Fahrenbach) Hoss.
After graduating from Radium High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Cavalry, serving as an antitank cannoneer.  On Nov. 5, 1954, he married Betty Joann Myers in Great Bend.  They were married for 53 years before her death May 13, 2007.
Flip was employed by Hahner, Foreman and Cale for many years as a heavy equipment operator and helped build the senior high-rise living facility, Barton County ...
