​Honor Flights continue

Kansas Honor Flight Inc. will escort 26 World War II veterans on an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C.
Mike VanCampen, president of the nonprofit organization based in Hutchinson, said flights will leave Wednesday from Wichita and Kansas City, and return on Friday.
“The veterans will have the opportunity to visit not only the memorials erected to honor their service to our country, but many other sites including Arlington National Cemetery,” he said. “Even though many government activities are currently shut down, these aging veterans are given special consideration.
