Cardinals earn postseason berth with win

HOISINGTON — Nolan McCurry broke free early and often for Hoisington High School’s football team against Thomas More Prep Marian on Thursday night.
The junior tailback broke loose for four touchdowns, leading the Cardinals to a 26-17 victory.
McCurry scored a pair of touchdowns in the first half, a 59-yard jaunt in the first quarter, and a 67-yard sprint with 2:47 remaining before intermission.
Hoisington led 12-3 at halftime.
McCurry punched in another score from 15 yards out with 7:46 remaining in the third quarter.
