​Vehicles hit several deer and one duck

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports several accidents involving deer on county roads in recent days.
There was also a report of a duck flying into a windshield at 4:25 p.m. Sunday on northeast K-156, at mile marker 134. The Garden City motorist said there were hunters by the road, which is located in Cheyenne Bottoms, and he believed the duck fell to the windshield after it was shot. He said the vehicle, a Ford Excursion, will need a new windshield.
