Christkindlmarket holiday event planned for Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD —Celebrating its German Heritage, the Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce announces the inaugural Christkindlmarket, which will be held on Dec. 1. The event will include an afternoon of shopping, arts, crafts and food vendors. During the evening, guests can enjoy a traditional abenbrot dinner or evening meal, the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, a living Nativity, St. Nicholas and Christmas Carols by local choirs.
From 2 to 5 p.m., merchants will be open and vendors will be scattered throughout the shopping district (this includes Main Street, Santa Fe, and side streets).
