Families attend Riley Reading Night

Riley School’s motto is “The School that Reads,” and last Thursday students invited their parents to come to their classrooms and see what they’re learning.
Fifth grader Even Guerra showed his mother a work basket full of notebooks and paper.
“I showed her the words we write,” Evan said. Students put a “?” next to words they don’t know, and a “+” if they know the words.
He also had a poetry book. In class, he said, students each read a poem and then they talk about what it’s about.
