Star of Hope begins disaster relief in Philippines

ELLINWOOD — Star of Hope begins disaster relief and recovery operations in response to the intense human suffering caused by typhoon Haiyan. Star of Hope Philippines staff have identified the city of Ormoc, Leyte, as the location where Star of Hope efforts will be the most effective. Planning is underway to bring effective help to the people there.
Earlier this week  a field hospital was scheduled to be airlifted to the disaster area. Two medical teams are being planned to staff the field hospital to work with the local authorities and Filipino medical providers. The first team is scheduled to arrive ...
