Five arrested in meth busts

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed two search warrants late Monday and early Tuesday in Great Bend. Sheriff Brian Bellendir said suspected methamphetamine was found and five suspects were arrested on drug charges.
Several other agencies were involved in the operation, Bellendir said. It started with information from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office that resulted in a traffic stop.
“Upon investigation a quantity of methamphetamine was located. Further information was developed and search warrants were executed.”
