LARNED — St. John-Hudson High School trailed after eight minutes, falling behind host Larned 21-15.
The Tigers turned on their strangle-hold defense in the second quarter, outscoring the Indians 17-2 to lead 32-23 at intermission.
St. John went on to win the championship game of the Seventh Annual Gene Keady Basketball Classic on Saturday night.
Zuriel Reyes finished with a game-high 22 points, going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Dean Wade added 21 points, and Kade Kinnamon scored 10 points for the Tigers.
Easton Palmer led the Indians with 15 points.
