Art teachers to be featured in next Shafer exhibit

The Shafer Gallery at Barton Community College will showcase the works of two former art teachers in 2014. The “Pedagogy” exhibit opens Friday, Jan. 10, with a reception from 6-8 p.m.
Works by Harry Krug and Michael Jilg will be featured. Gallery Director Dave Barnes said the exhibit is a great window into the lives of two artists who spent much of their life in art education, while at the same time continuing on their individual journeys as artists.
