CLAFLIN — The Central Plains High School boys’ basketball team wasted no time taking a huge lead at home against Larned on Friday night.
The Oilers, who are ranked No. 7 in Class 2A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, led 21-9 after eight minutes and continued to put distance between them and the Indians.
Layne Bieberle scored a game-high 20 points for the Oilers, with Braedan Crites adding 15 points.
Larned was led by Brayden Smith, who finished with 14 points.
Easton Palmer added 10 points for the Indians.
