Ellinwood — where eagles soar

This as yet unpainted eagle will soon be one that line the Main Street of Ellinwood in front of businesses. Local artists will paint the eagles with scenes from the area.

ELLINWOOD — While it is common for eagles to visit the area throughout the year, soon eagles of a different kind will add visual interest to Main Street in Ellinwood.
“I’ve always been intrigued by the Cow Parade. Abstract cows are all over Chicago,” said J. Basil Dannebohm, Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce administrator.
Chicago began the Cow Parade in 1999. The Cow Parade is a public art display where sculptures of cows, decorated by local artists, feature scenes specific to the area.
