ST. JOHN — The St. John-Hudson High School boys’ basketball team, which is ranked No. 1 in Class 2A on the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, cruised past Ellinwood on Tuesday evening.
The Tigers led 19-9 after eight minutes and continued to put distance between themselves and the Eagles.
St. John was led by Dean Wade, who finished with 14 points. He was joined by 11 players who scored for the Tigers.
Gera Calleros added 13 points, and Kade Kinnamon finished with 12.
Ellinwood was led by Kyle Jenks, who scored eight points.
